Eh, the plot holes were far less severe in the book. But a 2-hour runtime limitation tends to do that the movie adaptations. I'm fairly forgiving when it comes to that, as I understand the reasons.

I've not read the books, I was wondering how they tried to explain away how suddenly there were two contestants from the previous years, when last year was meant to be the first time.
Or how statistically speaking not every district would have a winner.

They have 74 years of backlogged Victors. Statistically speaking, it's not unfathomable that each District would have had two Victors within that time. It is never stated that a previous District had ever had 2 simultaneous Victors before Katniss and Peta. Some Victors were back-to-back, like the brother and sister Duo, and some were separated by decades, like the Capitol tributes.

...yet they all looked under 40. Which means they'd need to be in the last 15-20 years.
Plus when they introduced the players, they mentioned how they worked together to win.

Err...at least three were obviously over 40, not to mention Mags, who had to be at least 60.
And working together also means mentoring. This was covered in the book, but not in the movie.

Go watch Lone Survivor.
I'm pretty sure right there at the end of the movie, something went wrong in the movie theater's HVAC system, because it got REALLY dusty there.

I think principal photography on the other 2 has already wrapped, so now they're just in post. Hopefully they got enough coverage on PSH's scenes and don't need any re-shoot or ADR.

whoops. I was wrong. according to something i just read on IMDB, PSH had 7 days of shooting left to do on the last flick and his character is pretty important.
